Campervan Essentials: The Ultimate Guide to Packing
A campervan holiday is a great way to explore the South West. You can hire out one of our Volkswagen campervans to explore Dorset, Hampshire or Wiltshire from just £69 a day. We’ve compiled a campervan holiday checklist to help you pack all of your campervan essentials – don’t worry there’s plenty of storage in our VW campervans. Take a look at our campervan holiday packing tips below.
Weather Appropriate Clothes
This one is a little obvious, but make sure you have packed clothes for all types of weather – you know how the British summer can be! The New Forest is a popular first spot for our campervan travellers so be sure to pack some walking gear and wellies. Don’t forget swimming costumes either so you can go out and explore the beaches of the Jurassic Coast.
Make the most of summer nights and bring along a camping table and some camping chairs. Sit out underneath the awning and enjoy a barbecue or a campfire. While doing your campervan holiday packing, think of any electronics you might want to use. You will need to bring any torches, chargers, cables or other handy camping accessories. Our vans come with standard electric sockets for your convenience.
When you are doing your campervan holiday packing do not forget about bedding! Our VW campervans can sleep 4 adults comfortably but you will need to bring your pillows and duvets to keep cosy at night. Don’t forget to bring your toiletries and a first aid kit too! We would also recommend some suncream to avoid getting burnt whilst you are exploring the best sights in Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
The Campervan Essentials
You won’t need to worry about packing kitchenwares as Call Campervan will supply all the pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, plates and glasses you will need. If you get in touch with the team we can also hire a Portable Cobb Grill from just £12. We can also hire out bike racks for your campervan if you wanted to go off-road. We will supply road maps free of charge so you don’t have to worry about getting lost.
Food and Drink
The final tip on our campervan holiday checklist is to pack all of your favourite food and drink. Make sure you have plenty of bottled water, tea bags, coffee, milk, bread and anything else you might want for a quick breakfast or a lazy lunch. Most of our campervan travellers buy as they go, so a top tip would be to pack oils, spices and condiments you might want to get a flavourful kick out of your meals. You can’t quite beat a relaxing drink as the sun goes down so make sure you pack your favourite tipple.
Top tip: You can book an online grocery delivery from one of the big supermarkets to your Call Campervan collection point and our team will unpack your items so everything is ready for your adventure!
